Baseball Nova Scotia Umpire Division (BNSUD) is responsible for the training, development and administration of Baseball umpiring in Nova Scotia
Clinics 2010
General information for all Clinics:
Registration is always a half hour before the clinic time. Please bring with you, a note pad and
a pencil or pen. If you are a returning umpire bring your rule book, only new umpires will be
receiving a new rule book. All returning umpires please bring your mask, umpire hats,
indicators.  
A preregistration form is available for you to fill in and bring to the clinic, it will save time.

Please, Pre-Register with UIC in Your Area, all clinics have limited space
and you must pre-register.
BNSUD Registration fees: 2010

Level # 1        $50:00 plus $10.00 clinic fee        Total=$60.00
Level # 2        $50:00 plus $10.00 clinic fee        Total=$60.00
Level # 3        $65:00 plus $20.00 clinic fee        Total=$85.00
Level # 4-5  
   $70:00 plus $20.00 plus national certification fee $50.00  Total= $140.00

If you would like to get a head start on your clinic,you may want to read the training manual
before you arrive at the clinic.
BNSUD Level Requirements:
LEVEL ONE (1)
No previous experience required: Shall attend and pass the BNSUD Level One Umpire Clinic.
Shall be a minimum of thirteen (13) years of age.  Shall attain passing mark of minimum
60% on both field evaluation and provincial examination

LEVEL TWO (2)
Shall have been certified and registered for three previous years as a Level One umpire
Shall have been evaluated by the U.I.C. or designate as a candidate for advancement
Shall attend and pass the Level Two Umpire Clinic*
Shall be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age
Shall attain passing mark of minimum 70% on both field evaluation and provincial
examination

LEVEL THREE (3):
Shall have been certified and registered for four previous years (two immediate previous
years as Level Two umpire) minimum
Shall attend and pass the Provincial Umpire Training Program every year*
Shall have been evaluated by the U.I.C. And designate as a candidate for advancement
Shall be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age
Shall attain passing mark of minimum 80% on both field evaluation and provincial
examination
